Description
Barclays Bank is an early 18th-century house located on Station Road. It is two storeys high and constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring a stone-coped parapet. The roof is ridged, gabled, and covered with peg tiles, with a south chimney stack that has three octagonal shafts, all made of red brick. There is a moulded timber eaves band with mutules and a leaded top.
The building has two semi-hexagonal bay windows on the left and right sides, each containing three pairs of small-paned sashes on the first storey. The ground storey windows have been modernised for bank usage. Between the bay windows, there is a three-part sash and a pair of sashes, all of which are small-paned on the first storey. The ground storey features a matching sash window alongside a door set in a square porch made of red brick, which has a flat top and fluted pilasters on each side, with the top oversailing on mutules.
