Description

The Chequers Public House is a late 18th-century building featuring a double range of plastered brick that has been painted. It has a ridged gabled roof covered with peg tiles and a parapet at both the front and the gables. There are two chimney stacks at either end of the building. The front elevation consists of three sash windows set in stucco surrounds with scrolled bases. On the ground floor, there is a modern door located off-center within a stucco case, a three-part sash window to the left, and two pairs of sash windows on the right.
