Description

No. 2 High Street is an early 18th century building with a façade that belongs to an older structure. It features a timber frame with plaster and has a parapetted design. The roof is covered with peg tiles and has a ridge and hips, along with two plain chimney stacks along the ridge. On the first storey, there is a range of nine hornless small paned sash windows, all in exposed boxes. The ground storey has a centrally located door within a case that features an open pediment with classical relief on the tympanum. The door leaf is rectangular and geometrical, with a fanlight above it and four fielded panels over two flush panels. There are three pairs of matching sashes on the west side and two 19th century shop fronts on the east side.
