Description

Number 40 and the adjoining cottage to the left are two cottages from the early 19th century. They are built of early yellow stock bricks and feature a red plain tiled roof. The cottages are one storey high with attics, and each has three gabled dormers that contain Gothic-headed windows. There is a range of three leaded windows with segmental arched heads. To the right and left, there are two plank and muntin doors, each with segmental heads. Gault brick chimney stacks are located on both the right and left sides of the cottages.
