Description

This is a barn and attached stable located to the southwest of Lawns, dating from the 18th century or earlier. The structure is timber framed and weatherboarded, featuring a red plain tiled roof with a gabled midstrey. The barn consists of three bays, while the stable has a hipped roof to the right and comprises two bays. There is a weatherboarded grey slate lean-to at the center. The building includes jowled storey posts and a Queen strut roof, with the stable having arch braces to the tie beams. The midstrey has double doors with chicken boards, and there is a beam carved in 1789 within the barn.
