Description

Traceys Farmhouse is a house with a core dating from the 17th century or earlier, featuring alterations and additions from the 18th and 19th to 20th centuries. It has a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a red plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys tall and includes a cellar. The façade has a three-window range of double hung sashes with glazing bars. A central porch, also with a red tiled roof, leads to an 18th-century six-panelled door with a light above it. There are red brick chimney stacks on both the left and right sides of the house. Inside, notable features include a heavy chamfered beam in the cellar, an 18th-century brick floor, panelled doors from the 18th century, stairs with treads and risers, an original chimney place, and a row of servants bells. There are also traces of a moat to the northwest and south of the house.
