Description
Blake Hall Station, built around 1865/66, is a station and station master's house originally part of the Great Eastern Railway line from Epping to Ongar, serving as a halt for Blake Hall. The building is constructed of red brick with gault dressings and features grey slate roofs. The house is two storeys high with a three-window range of quarter pane vertical sliding sashes that have segmental heads and stone cills supported by blocks. It has rusticated quoins, an eaves band, and two central bands. There are three red brick chimney stacks. At the rear, there is a ticket office or station house made from matching materials, which includes a central door with a light above and windows on either side. This section has a half-hipped roof and a red brick chimney stack on the right.
