Description
Springfield Farmhouse is a 18th century building that underwent remodelling and extension from an earlier house. It features painted weatherboarding and a whitewashed brick front on the south side, topped with a gabled old tiled roof. The farmhouse has two storeys and attics, with the road-facing side displaying two sash windows and a central modern three-light casement window with glazing bars. The south front includes two pedimented three-light sash windows. Recently, the farmhouse was restored, incorporating old timbers and adding a gabled half-timbered porch. This porch replaced a 18th or early 19th century Tuscan porch that had marginal lights and a four-fielded panelled door within a moulded surround.
