Description
This is a model farm complex dating from the early 19th century, incorporating a 17th-century timber-framed barn. The early 19th-century buildings are principally constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with hipped pantile roofs. They include byres, cart sheds, and a former farm office featuring a chimney stack and cupola. A contemporary timber-framed barn, clad in black weatherboarding with a corrugated iron roof, stands in the centre of the group. At the north end of the complex is another 17th-century barn, also of black weatherboarding with a corrugated iron roof. This barn is five bays long and has a central gabled midstrey on its south side, along with braced tie beams and jowled storey posts.
