Description

The Shoes is a house dating from the mid-17th century. It is timber framed and plastered, with the framing exposed on the outside and a red plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays, along with a chimney bay. The first floor features a range of four 20th-century casement windows, while the ground floor has 20th-century oriel bays. The original central chimney stack is made of red brick and has been partly rebuilt. The walls have through bracing, and the roof is supported by side purlins.
