Description
Blacksmiths Cottages comprise a terrace of three houses dating to the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. They are constructed of timber framing and plaster, with a partially brick facade, and feature a red plain tile roof. The houses are two storeys high and have a four-window front, incorporating 3-light 18th and 20th-century casement windows, one bay of 19th-century sash windows with glazing bars, and three flat canopies supported by brackets. The recessed entrances have cambered arches. Two hipped dormers are present. The eaves are dentilled. A central red brick chimney stack and a 19th-century yellow stock brick chimney stack on the east side are notable features.
