Description

NINE ASHES FARMHOUSE is a house, now divided into two tenements, dating from the 16th century or earlier. The house is timber-framed and rendered with a red plain tile roof, hipped at the west end. It is two storeys high with attics, and has a four-window front featuring 20th-century casement windows. Two flat canopies shelter the front doors. Later 17th and 19th-century wings extend to the rear of the building. The property has red brick chimney stacks, and the front is defined by iron railings with fleur-de-lys finials.
