Description
No. 2 Traps Hill is an early 19th-century house constructed of stuccoed brick and topped with a slate roof. The building has an L-shaped plan, with wings extending to the southeast and northeast, and it faces southwest. There are chimney stacks on both walls of the rear angle, as well as an internal chimney stack in the northeast wing, located northwest of the ridge. The house is two storeys tall.
On the ground floor, there is a six-panel door with a rectangular light above it featuring tracery of intersected circles. The doorcase is adorned with two bands of egg-and-dart ornament. Additionally, there is one double-hung sash window with 12 lights from the early 19th century, along with two 20th-century metal casement windows.
On the first floor, there is one double-hung sash window with four lights, another with six upper lights and one lower light, both dating from the 19th century, and one 20th-century metal casement window. The roof is hipped with a shallow pitch.
