Description
Ravens is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It has a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a half hipped red plain tile gambrel roof. The building is two storeys high with attics and features a three-window range with 19th century casements that have glazing bars. There are two hipped dormers with leaded lights. The central entrance has a six-panelled door with a fanlight above, flanked by simple flat hoods supported on scrolled brackets. The eaves have a wood modillioned course. To the north, there is a single storey weatherboarded extension with a half hipped red plain tile roof. At the rear, there is a lean-to that is likely original, along with a 20th century gabled porch. Inside, the ground floor contains four early 19th century paintings on the door panels.
