Description
The premises of Jackmans Office Equipment, located at the rear of Wren House, is a late 19th-century outbuilding now used as an office. It features a timber frame and painted weatherboard, topped with a grey slate roof and red ridge tiles. The building is two storeys high with an attic, which includes a central gabled dormer. At the ridge, there is a centrally placed vertically boarded cote. The gables are adorned with decorative rafter feet and purlin ends, along with finials and pendants at the apex. The dormer also has matching finials, pendants, and barge boards.
On the first floor, the building has herringbone weatherboarding on both the right and left sides, with six small paned lights positioned centrally. The ground floor features two small paned casements, a half-glazed door on the left, and boarded double doors on the right. The central infill is weatherboarded and supported by seven plain pilasters. This building is unusual and decorative, contributing positively to the group value of the Church and its surrounding structures. It may have originally served as a carpenter's workshop.
