Description
This monument is located 10 metres south of the south porch of the Parish Church of St. Christopher in Willingale. It is a cube-like stone chest featuring a cornice and an ogee lid topped with an urn finial. Each face of the monument is panelled and adorned with Greek fret borders. It is inscribed to Caroline, the wife of Daniel Carpenter, and dates from 1816. The monument stands on a single step-like plinth and is surrounded by contemporary iron railings that have urn and spear point terminations.
