Description
Anchor House is a house dating from around 1700, built on a rectangular plan. The front features ashlar marked plaster that has been painted. It is two storeys high and has a range of three windows. The roof is hipped and covered with peg tiles, and there are two red brick chimneys, one at each end.
The ground floor has a central door with a glazed top, set within a fluted case that includes a dentilled pediment and a fanlight. On the left side, there is a semi-hexagonal bay window with small-paned sash windows that reaches two storeys high. The right side features a full-height bay with dentilled cornices and a smaller semi-hexagonal bay window with small-paned sashes. Additionally, there are two sets of small-paned sash windows on the first storey.
