Description
Church View House is a late 16th-century house, dating around 1580, featuring a three-unit cross passage plan. It stands two storeys high with a central hall that has a solar above it and a service bay at the north end, while the south end consists of two bays. The house has an exposed timber frame, which is covered with 18th or early 19th-century weatherboarding. It has a gabled thatched roof and a 17th-century brick stack. The windows are diamond mullioned. In the early 19th century, the house was converted into two cottages, which included the addition of pedimented doorways.
