Description

Badcocks Farmhouse is a late 15th-century hallhouse featuring gabled crosswings. The hall was rebuilt in the 16th century. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tile roof, and has two storeys. It includes 18th-century double hung vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars and 19th-century casements. The main building has a long wall jetty with a carved and moulded bressumer, which is dated 1585. There are 17th-century and 19th-century red brick chimney stacks. The farmhouse has later extensions to the west and south and was formerly moated.
