Description

This is a 17th-century house, now a public house called "House without a Name," situated on Eastthorpe Road in Copford. Originally a timber-framed building, it was later plastered and has a painted brick front and a red plain tile roof. The facade has three windows, featuring 19th-century double-hung sash windows with glazing bars and modern shutters. A section of the ground floor front is weatherboarded. A modern gabled porch has been added. The building originally had a rectangular plan and comprised three bays and a chimney bay. Later 19th and 20th-century extensions were added to the rear of the property.
