Description
The Mermaid Public House is a late 18th century building located on Mersea Road. It is constructed of red brick and stands two storeys high, featuring six windows with sash frames that include glazing bars. The pub has modern glass doors, but retains one original pedimented doorcase along with a modern replica of another. The roof is covered with slate.
