Description

No. 23 Mersea Road is an early to mid-19th century corner building that was formerly a public house. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed of painted brick with a slate roof. The main front features a three-window range, with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars on the upper storeys. The ground floor on both fronts has an entrance flanked by windows, all set beneath a moulded cornice. The corner of the building is rounded at the ground floor, with corbelling above the angle.
