Description

This is a 16th-century timber-framed building located on West Mersea High Street. The building has been plastered and is topped with a ridged, hip-ended roof covered in peg tiles. There is a red brick chimney stack towards the west end and another on the right side of the hip roof, featuring a crown pot made of coadstone. The northern ground floor features a 19th-century concave square conoid porch with a cast-iron design and an acorn finial, leading to a four-panel door set within a wide wooden frame. A semi-hexagonal bay window, also with a concave conoid roof, sits alongside a small-paned sash window on either side of the porch. Four small-paned sash windows are visible on the first storey.
