Description
Quay House is an early 19th-century building located on Rose Lane in Wivenhoe. It is a three-storey structure made of gault brick laid in Flemish bond. The façade features a long parapet with an Egyptian-style doorcase made of stucco, which includes panelled reveals and an entablature. On the right side, there is a small-paned sash window set under a segmental arch, while a blocked window is located on the left. The first storey has two sash windows, one positioned above the door and the other to its left. The second storey also contains two windows. The elevation facing the quay showcases a tall one-bay front with a semi-hexagonal bay window that rises two storeys and features small-paned sashes. A glazed door is situated on the second storey, behind a wooden balustrade.
