Description

Church Cottages, located on Church Road in Wormingford, is a house from the 18th century and earlier that has been divided into tenements. The building features a timber frame with plaster and has windows on the west front that are arranged in a 2 over 2 pattern, along with modern sets of four casements. There are two plain boarded front doors, one at each end of the building's frontage. The roof is ridged and gabled, covered with peg tiles, and has a central square-topped chimney stack made of red brick. A date panel on the first storey reads 'J & A 1750'. At the rear, there is a wing that is also ridged and pegtiled, with a red brick chimney stack on the east end wall. Additionally, there is a single-storey lean-to that runs the entire length of the rear, and a modern pantiled garage is located at the north end.
