Description

The Church of St Andrew is a Grade I listed parish church with Norman origins, located on Wormingford Church Road. It features a west tower, nave, lower chancel, and a south porch, all constructed from coursed rubble with red brick quoins. The roofs are ridged and gabled, covered with peg tiles. The tower includes north lancets and bell openings with tuber mid-wall insets and stone sills, some of which may be original. The nave has remnants of an east lancet window made of red brick at the south-west, while most of the windows date from the 14th century and feature ogee reticulated tracery. The north aisle has a north-west quoin made of Roman brick, with long-and-short masonry above. The roofs are Victorian, but the north aisle roof incorporates early timbers.
