Description

Langham Oak Cottage is a 15th-century house that is single storey with attics and was originally built with an open hall. The cottage has been significantly extended by two wings at the rear. The front is covered in white weatherboarding and features three eyebrow dormers along with a gabled modern porch. The roof is thatched, ridged, and gabled, supported by three red brick chimney stacks. The central range consists of three bays, which are laterally divided by a first floor on clamps from the 16th century. The rear wall shows two tusked beams that support the added floor, while the front wall retains an ovolo mullioned window. The scarfs are halved and bridled and are of great length.
