Description

Bakers is a documented house dating back to 1508, located on Langham School Road at Blacksmiths Corner. It features a 15th-century timber frame and is one storey high. In the 16th century, it was laterally divided, with a tusked joist protruding in the southeast bay. The building is plastered and has a ridged thatched roof with two red brick chimneys, one positioned near the center and the other at the east end. The front door is filleted, and there are three paned casement windows on the north ground elevation. A gabled dormer is present on the street frontage. The building has been extended toward the street at the right end with an additional one-storey range that has a ridged thatched roof, a red brick chimney, a filleted plank door, and one casement window.
