Description

The building known as the House and Shop west of the Old Exchange is a 17th-century structure located on the north side of Dedham High Street. It stands two storeys high and is oriented end on to the street. The building features a timber-framed construction that is plastered, with a ridged, gabled roof covered in peg tiles. A notable feature is the 18th-century shop window, which is small paned and supported by posts beneath its sill.
