Description

The Compasses is a 16th-century timber-frame building, originally plastered and with a ridged and gabled peg-tiled roof. A 17th-century addition was later built at the rear. The front of the building presents two storeys to the street, with a distinctive semi-hexagonal bay window featuring small-paned sash windows. A red brick chimney stack is visible, featuring tabled offsets.
