Description
The White Hart Public House is a 17th-century building located on Nayland Road in West Bergholt. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure, standing two storeys tall with a long range and a ridged gabled roof covered in peg tiles. At each end of the building are two red brick chimneys. The plasterwork is panelled with roll-moulded demarcations.
On the ground floor, there are two modern doors, each situated under leaded hoods supported by roll and drop brackets. The central feature of the façade is a semi-hexagonal bow window, which includes two hornless sashes with glazing bars on either side. The first storey has a range of three irregularly spaced similar sashes. At the east end, there is a single-storeyed gabled extension that contains a pair of horned 8-pane sashes.
