Description

York House is an early 19th-century house built from grey gault brick, featuring a grey slate hipped roof with red tile ridges. The building has two storeys and a three-window range of double-hung vertical sliding sashes. A central grey brick chimney stack is present, along with a simple doorcase that has a moulded head and pilasters. The windows are topped with gauged brick arches. The house has a square plan and a two-window range facing the road, with one ground floor bay window added in the late 19th century. There is also a grey brick wall in 'rat trap' bond along Kelvedon Road.
