Description
Springfield Dukes is an 18th century house constructed of red brick laid in Flemish bond, featuring blue glazed headers. The building is two storeys high with attics and dormers, and has a projecting string at the eaves level, which includes a dentil course and a parapet above. There is a projecting string at the first floor, and the central bay is set forward, topped with a semi-elliptical pediment in the parapet. The house has a seven-window range of sashes arranged in pairs of six panes, with exposed boxes. The brick gables are complemented by a chimney stack on each side. A modern central front porch has been added. The roof is ridged and covered with peg tiles, and the overall plan of the building is rectangular.
