Description

Edward House is a 19th-century house located on Broomfield Road. It is constructed of gault brick laid in a Flemish bond pattern. The west front features a large, two-story Gothic window with complex Y tracery in wood, and two further Y tracery windows on the first floor, each set beneath a brick hoodmould. A six-panel main door, situated on the north side, is set within a moulded case and is topped with a rectangular fanlight. The original cast iron knocker-hand, shaped like a wreath, remains. The house has a hipped slate roof.
