Description

59 and 61 High Street are a pair of tenements that originated as a late 15th-century timber-framed house, substantially rebuilt in the 18th or early 19th century. They are two storeys high and feature a two-window facade. The windows are double-hung sashes with small panes of glazing bars. The ground floor has two bay windows with glazing bars. The doors are 20th-century replacements. The roof is slate, with a mansard and three dormers with sloping roofs. The property forms a group with 57-61 (odd), 66-78 (even), Banstreets, Bell Street, the Church of St Mary, and the Vicarage on Church Street.
