Description

Beauchamp House is a late 19th-century, two-storey house located on Baddow Road. It is constructed of gault brick in a Flemish bond pattern. The house features three sash windows on the first floor and sash windows on the ground floor, all with small panes and margin lights, topped with flat hoods supported by bold consoles. The tympani above the doors are adorned with relief flowers. The central front door consists of ten fielded panels and is framed by an Ionic portico with an entablature, supported by two plain columns and two pilasters. The stone trim throughout the building adds to its elegance. The hipped roof is covered with slate, and there are four chimney stacks, two on each side wall. The overall plan of the house is square.
