Description
Malbrooks Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with extensions added in the 20th century. The building is primarily timber-framed and roughcast rendered, with some areas of painted brick in Flemish bond, and it has a roof covered with handmade red clay tiles. The house has a double-pile plan that faces southeast and features one internal stack on the right side. There are two single-storey extensions at the rear, one at the center and one on the right, which connects the house to a formerly separate barn.
The farmhouse is two storeys tall. On the ground floor, there are two sash windows with 6+6 lights, with the right window being original and the left one altered. The first floor has three original sash windows with 6+3 lights. A central door is set within a Doric portico. The plinth is made of painted brick and rises to approximately 1.5 meters in height. The hipped roof adds to the character of the building.
On the right elevation, the ground floor features one original sash window with 6+6 lights, while the first floor has two original sashes with 6+3 lights and one 20th-century casement window. The left elevation has one original sash window with 6+6 lights and one 20th-century window on the ground floor, and two original sashes with 6+6 lights on the first floor.
