Description
Bakers Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in both English and Flemish bond, and has a roof covered with red clay 'Roman' tiles. The building has a rectangular plan and faces southeast, featuring an axial external stack at the left end and an axial internal stack at the right end. It is two storeys high and includes an original single-storey wing with an internal end stack at the rear right, along with a 20th-century lean-to porch to the right of it.
To the right of the farmhouse, there is a timber-framed and weatherboarded ancillary building, which is supported on brick piers and has a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The ground floor of the farmhouse features two original sash windows, each with 10+10 lights. The first floor has three similar sash windows. The central entrance has a half-glazed door that is recessed within a semicircular arch. Additionally, there are two round cast-iron tie-plates at first-floor level, located to the right of the door. A late 19th-century cast-iron pump is attached to the right side of the rear wing.
