Description
No. 35 in Hutton Village is a pair of adjoining houses that have been combined into one, including what was formerly No. 37. The buildings date from the early 19th century to the early 20th century. The front elevation features timber-framed walls that are rendered, with 20th-century panel pargetting and weatherboarding below the ground floor windows. The roof is covered with 20th-century flat tiles, and the stack has been rebuilt in red brick. The structure is two stories high and has a two-window range with 20th-century renewed sashes that include glazing bars with three by four panes. There are two 20th-century doors with simple hoods positioned at the outer ends of the facade, designed in an early 19th-century style with four flush bead moulded panels. At the rear, there is a 20th-century two-storey addition that creates a T-shaped plan, with weatherboarding on the north and south ends. Additionally, there is a single-storey 20th-century addition at the south end made of red brick and weatherboard, featuring a tall narrow casement window. No. 35 is part of a group of buildings in the surrounding area of Hutton Village.
