Description

This is an early 19th-century pair of houses, originally numbered 35-49, which have been combined into a single dwelling at 47 Hutton Village. The buildings were later known as Nos. 35 and 37, 43-49 (Odd). They are timber-framed and rendered, with a flat clay tile roof and a central chimney stack that has been rebuilt in red brick. The layout is now T-shaped, incorporating a 20th-century addition set at a right angle to the rear. The front elevation has two windows on each floor, featuring 20th-century replacement sash windows with a 3x4 pane design. Two 20th-century doors, styled to resemble early 19th-century four-panel designs, are positioned at the outer edges of the facade, each with a simple hood. Weatherboarding extends below the ground-floor windows and continues up the north and south ends, stopping at the 20th-century rear work. The building contributes to the group value of properties within Hutton Village.
