Description
These stables, built in the 18th century, are located approximately 50 metres northwest of Pentlow Hall. The structure features a timber frame that is exposed on the right side, while the left side is dressed with flint. It has a grey slate roof that includes a gabled loft door. There are garage doors on both the right and left sides, along with a central round-headed vertically boarded door. Inside, the stables showcase a timber two-bay moulded segmental-headed arcade with moulded capitals and bases supporting the columns. The stalls have serpentine wall plates, and original panelled sides with drop door hatches from the hay loft remain intact. The carriage bays have been converted into garages, and the flooring is made of edge bricks. Original stairs leading to the loft are also present.
