Description
Sunnyside is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house, which was refronted in the 18th century. It stands immediately west of the school on Lower Street. The building has one storey and attics, featuring a three-window range with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. There are two canted bays with three lights each. The entrance has a four-panel door, with the upper panels glazed and surrounded by a reeded architrave. The roof is thatched and includes two gabled dormers. At the rear, there is a timber-framed and weatherboarded wing. Sunnyside, along with the adjacent Wedcot and house, Mizbah, Rawhide, and the Railway Arms Public House, forms a notable group.
