Description
Long Entry Cottage is a pair of early 19th century cottages that have been combined into one. The building is timber framed and has a roughcast rendered exterior with a thatched roof. It is oriented approximately east-west, with the gable end facing the street and a central chimney stack on the south side. The cottage features two plain boarded doors and two 19th century casement windows, along with two additional casement windows in swept dormers. One of the upper windows retains its original glazing, which consists of small rectangular leaded panes. Inside, the cottage has chamfered axial beams, as well as exposed joists and rafters. Historical records, such as the tithe map from 1840, indicate that there were originally four cottages in a line, of which the eastern pair have since been demolished.
