Description
Quince Cottage is a pair of combined cottages dating from the early 19th century. They are timber framed and plastered, with a thatched roof. The building has four bays facing southeast, featuring an axial stack and an external stack at the right end. There is a 20th-century single-storey extension at the rear. This pair of cottages has been added to Belbyne on the left, and an extra flue has been inserted into the earlier stack. The structure is one storey with attics, including one 19th-century casement window, two 20th-century casement windows, and two additional casements in eyebrow dormers. The entrance features a plain boarded door, and the roof is half-hipped at the right end. Deeds held by the owners suggest that it was built around 1813. The cottage is listed for its group value with Belbyne Cottage.
