Description
The garden pavilion, located approximately 65 metres northeast of Spains Hall, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is primarily constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with some rubble facing. The pavilion has a flat roof and a square plan, facing southeast, featuring octagonal quoins that culminate in crenellated turrets. It stands two storeys tall.
The front elevation includes a first-floor window with two lights, showcasing Gothick intersecting tracery, and a Gothick doorway with a two-centred arch, complete with the original door that has blind tracery. Moulded plaster labels are positioned above each opening. Each side wall features two similar, but dummy windows, with the lower left window being simpler and lacking a label, as it is not visible from the garden. There are plaster moulded bands at each storey and a crenellated parapet. The rear wall and the lower part of the left return wall are faced with pebble rubble, which is not visible from the garden, while the interior walls are made of brick. The pavilion retains its original stair and first floor.
