Description
Numbers 113 and 115 on High Street are likely a 15th-century timber-framed and plastered house featuring a central hall and jettied gables at both the southeast and northwest ends. An upper storey was added to the central hall, probably in the 16th or 17th century. The front of the building underwent significant restoration in the 19th century and is now pebbledashed with imitation timber-framing. The house has two storeys and attics, with a three-window range that includes double-hung sashes with glazing bars in the upper sashes. The central section of the first storey is adorned with 19th-century ornamental terra-cotta tiles, while the ground storey features 20th-century shop windows. The roofs are tiled, and the central window extends to a gabled dormer. This building is part of a group that includes numbers 101 to 107 and 113 to 117 on the odd side of the street.
