Description

Howbridge Hall is a timber-framed and plastered house dating circa 1580, with two projecting wings on the north-east side. The south-west front features a gable at the south-east end. The house is two storeys high and has a four-window range, with 18th-century double-hung sash windows featuring glazing bars in the upper sashes, all set within flush cased frames. The doorway is distinguished by pilasters and a flat cornice hood. The roof is tiled and features a large square chimney stack with a rebuilt moulded brick cap and string course, alongside a 17th-century stack with square corner shafts and a moulded base with three offsets. The interior includes reused 17th-century panelling, and a 18th-century panelled room with a wood modillion cornice.
