Description
Ford Farmhouse, including the barn, is a 15th-century timber-framed and plastered house located on Church Road in Rivenhall. It features cross wings at the north-west and south-east ends, with 17th-century additions at the north-west end and the rear. The house has been renovated in the 20th century and has two storeys in the wings and one storey with attics in the main block. The windows are 20th-century casements. The roofs are tiled, with two gabled dormers on the south-west front and two gabled dormers on the south-east front. The original roof structure remains intact. To the east of the house is a 17th-century timber-framed barn, which now has a corrugated asbestos roof.
