Description

  1. 1841 CHURCH ROAD, RIVENHALL Ford Farmhouse (including barn) (Formerly listed under Rivenhall) TL 81 NW 5/104 1.3.50.

  1. A C15 timber-framed and plastered house with cross wings at the north west and south east ends. There are C17 additions at the north west end and at the rear. The house has been renovated in the C20. 2 storeys to the wings and 1 storey and attics to the main block. The windows are C20 casements. Roofs tiled, with 2 gabled dormers on the South-west front and 2 gabled dormers on the south east front. The roof has original structure. A C17 timber-framed barn east of the house, now has a corrugated asbestos roof. RCHM. (12).
