Description
Rivenhall Church of England Primary School and School House are two adjoining buildings from the mid-19th century, constructed from flint and stone. The school is a single-storey structure featuring a four-window range on the front, with casement windows that have "Gothic" arches. At the north end, there is a gabled porch with a "Gothic" arched entrance. Both the north and south ends of the building are gabled, adorned with stone copings and corbels. The south gable includes a gabled belfry topped with a stone crucifix, and there is a small gabled extension at the south end. The roof is covered with slate.
The school house is located at the southeast corner of the school and is oriented at right angles to it. It is two storeys tall, with gabled ends on the east and west, featuring moulded stone copings and corbels. The west end has one window, while the south front has two windows and a "Gothic" arched doorway with a hood mould. A tall external chimney stack is positioned at the west end of the south front, and one of the windows extends into a gabled dormer. The roof of the school house is tiled.
