Description
Sculpin's Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with handmade red clay tiles. The house has four bays facing southeast and features an axial stack located in the second bay from the left, which creates a lobby entrance. At the rear, there is a single-storey lean-to extension. The building is one storey high with attics and includes three 20th-century casement windows, along with an additional casement in a half-dormer. A tiled gabled porch is present, and the stack is rendered. Inside, there are chamfered transverse and axial beams with lamb's tongue stops, and an original moulded three-plank door is located at the foot of the stairs. The size of the house has been reduced since the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments report. Additionally, it is situated on a moated site.
